I couldn't get this drive to recognize my Blu-ray discs. I've tried various programs including the one you recommended with no success. I had no problems with the DVD, CD, etc. drive, but the Blu-Ray didn't work. Windows just keeps trying to recognize the drive when there is a Blu-ray disc in it. If there is nothing in the drive or another drive, it works fine. Very disappointed as I love the extra ports and card slots. Update: I just used a completely different external Blu-ray drive and it plays movies just fine. This drive is definitely a problem. I would NOT buy it for Blu-ray. Second update: although I never managed to get the disc to work with Blu-Ray, the seller did a great job with me. They offered another ride and when that didn't work either they refunded my money. I will say the drive is great for anything but Blu-Ray and the extra USB ports and cards are fantastic. I hope they update their specs on Revain to remove the Blu-ray. Third update: Drive works fine with desktop but not with Surface Book 2. I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars because of the excellent support from the seller and because it works with desktop. I believe they will update their list as well.
