What a great 4-port external hub! My friends and I have had problems with any PCI hub card, regardless of manufacturer or location, on any computer because they make them so cheap and don't have to check for compatibility. This product's documentation does not state that it is compatible with Windows 98 or ME. I guarantee this hub. Install the hub with the computer powered off and the hub powered on. Boot and the new hardware will be found as a generic USB hub. The correct driver installation is on your Windows CD, a generic USB device. Windows 95 driver selection as DLink selection is wrong, use a different one on the screen, insert and boot a Windows 98 or ME CD. Restart your computer to complete the installation. Upon reboot, you will see "USB Devices: Hub" under NVRAM on the screen. In Device Manager you will see it as "Universal USB Hub" under Universal Serial Bus Controller. This hub requires its own 5V DC power supply to run the firmware. It is 100% compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 and requires no software. What a wonderful device! If only everything worked that well. Throw out all the PCI hub cards you have and get this awesome external hub!
