I almost hate to admit how much I love these binoculars because I've always disliked binoculars. But they're just small and light enough not to get in the way when you're trying to adjust the two sides to your eyes for a nice distance view. I bought this along with the monocular because I figured it would be better to just hold it in one hand as I bird watch both 10 feet and a block away. But no, the more expensive monocular wasn't clear and the view, despite being the same 8x21, was half the size (apparently because of a lens). So I am very, very happy with my Skygenius 8x21 binoculars. I can see tiny goldfinches in great detail at the feeding station 10 feet away and I can spot very lively mockingbirds 35 feet up in a tree three houses away. Excellent clarity and usability.
