Review on Liquitex Professional Acrylic Muted Violet by Morgan Gilmore

Gorgeous, fantastic colors

I still love these acrylic inks. I currently prefer the Copic brand to color my illustrations because it is more beneficial for you and one drop is enough! It is lightfast, very runny and can be thickened with pot mortar to create cool effects. They can be mixed for more colors and diluted with water for light washes. It looks like watercolor but doesn't need much water. More versatile than markers. Still play with colors to see how they go together. I experimented with this and created two octopuses. Purple Octopus is primarily purple with muted green tones. I played with it and applied the shadows first and then over the diluted violet, it turned out great. The paper is regular 90 lb drawing paper and it only warped slightly when I washed it off with water. The orange octopus is the same but he applied the shadows in a muted green, then a yellow, then a light red to give me an orange tint. Oh! it also doesn't bleed through the paper. FYI I haven't used them that way, but you can add ink to refillable markers. but google "Acrylic Ink Refillable Markers" and it should come up, so I can wait while I experiment with it this way. I'll update the review if I think of anything else, but i love her so far. But I did the shadow with a muted green, then a yellow, then a bright red to give me an orange tint.
