Check the bottom of the holder. Mine had one leg a little longer and digged into the countertop.

Units work very well from fine to coarse grinding. The caps that fit on the bottom of the grinder will not fit, you will have to work on replacing them when you no longer use them. The coffee grinder support had a small blemish, one leg was long and digging into the countertop. I sanded it down and it sits flat and doesn't cut into the countertop. Aside from those two issues, they work fine.
