Review on 💻 Cisco-Linksys PPS1UW EtherFast USB PrintServer with Wireless Capability by Sam Duppa

When you buy a "multifunction” printer, all you have to do is connect it directly to a PC (Windows). I bought a PPS1UW printer and an HP 7550 color printer on the same day. I ran into the exact same issues that others have commented, but I know whose fault it is. hp hp hp How can you create a printer that requires "special drivers" to print? What's wrong with plain old PostScript? What's wrong with standards? Yes, I ended up speaking to HP and Linksys tech support and encountered a "sorry, this is not supported" nightmare from BOTH vendors. I ended up using my existing JetDirect to run the 7550 and Linksys to run my other printer (HP 1220 Laserjet). Linksys works great with standard printers. HP (like other printer manufacturers) is pissed off at building custom printers that consumers expect to actually work properly. Support Linksys and kick out all those stupid printers that do things we don't want via incompatible interfaces.
