Very good strong brackets. My 2016 Silverado already had threaded nuts in the frame. I was able to install, bolt and tighten these brackets without removing the rear wheels, but you must install the rails and bolts through the brackets before applying final torque to the brackets. Install the brackets and hand tighten the screws, then attach the rails and finally tighten the brackets. Keep in mind that these brackets are for the left and right side and you cannot interchange them. If you look at the screw holes at the top of the brackets, most of the rear holes are closer to the center of the truck. This is because the rear rails are bolted one slot further in than the front. It sounds complicated, but when you read the instructions and see the equipment in front of you, it makes sense. One more thing. If you have Duramax they show on youtube how they cut the heat shield. You don't have to do this if you use a flexbox ratchet wrench and loosen the four 13mm screws that hold it in place. The gap is small, but with this tool you can take off 4 of them in about 5 minutes each. Do not cut the heat shield unless necessary.
