I prefer wire boxes over plastic boxes as I can fold them up for traveling. But they lack the cozy warmth for my puppies that less open plastic crates provide. I have both as I love to travel and always carried a blanket to throw over the wire cage for some warmth. This is ideal as it reduces outside distractions allowing the pup to sleep and it also packs very compactly unlike my version of the blanket that I have used in the past. Plus it allows me to turn a side so I can put my dogs side by side and they can see each other which adds to the calming effect. The cover is well sewn, the pattern is pleasant.
