These are great quality bandsaw tires when you put them on the bandsaw wheels. Therein lies the catch. For convenience, they come in a 'package' with almost zero instructions other than confirmation that they are 'undersized' and may require soaking in 'warm water'. Say what? Okay, trial and error, here's how to do it:.1. Place these hoops in a plastic bowl big enough to hold them both plus enough water to cover them.2. Microwave them on HIGH for a series of 60 second cycles, repeating enough times (5 in my case) until the water is almost boiling. From now on, one person CAN do this, but extra hands are welcome.4. Take this pot of steaming tire soup to the bandsaw, remove the first tire and stretch it as much as possible before placing it on the bandsaw wheel. Engage some muscles in the stretching operation; You will not break it.5. As the hoop cools in place, it will shrink into a tight fit.6. Quickly repeat this for the second hoop (before it and the soup have cooled).7. Enjoy your success! I expect these things to last a lot longer than the original rubber tires they replace. But I'm willing to bet rubber tires stretch a lot easier - and are easier to fit. With slightly more helpful instructions (like a link to an installation video) I would give these tires all 5 stars.
