They are great.: Band saw accessories

Fits my 14 inch motor perfectly. They're easy to install, but in addition to soaking in hot water for five minutes, I added a few drops of dish soap - same trick as installing solid mountain bike tires. Be sure to remove the wheels first and attach them to the table. The bottom wheel has reverse threads and a key - be careful not to lose it. Finally, after the tires are installed, work around the wheel to ensure the tire is fully seated.

Hot water from a kettle makes it easier to use.

Ideal for Delta 14" band saw. As suggested, I soaked the tires in hot "tea temperature" water for about 10 minutes and was able to fit them without tools. They fit like a glove. Just be careful Be sure to remove any residue from previous tire usage and even out the tire fit by running a small (pencil sized) tire dowel around the entire circumference of the wheel. Finally ensure the tire is centered and does not roll up on the raised sides of the wheel.

NOT Fit Jet JWBS-14OS

These tires are too wide for Jet JWBS-14OS wheels. The numbers on my bandsaw blades are 198672 top wheel, 198242 bottom wheel. So if these numbers are on your jet bandsaw wheels, do not order these tires. Find and order the jet number 100025A. I did just that and found them from another supplier that specializes in aftermarket parts. They are black like the originals and fit like the originals. I was able to mount them by hand without tools by running my thumbs over the wheels and then placing…

Works very well for me

No bandsaw bar will be easy to install and these bars are no exception. Getting them nice and warm in hot water helps, but honestly not much. This will require patience, and the wizard's third hand won't hurt either. You definitely won't do it with a saw wheel; secure it in a vise. Some reviewers complained about uneven seams; I've inspected mine and sanded down a few suspicious spots, but they were probably fine and didn't cause me any problems. They were part of an overhaul/tuning of a cheap…

Fits perfectly on my Delta 14 inch

I was a little apprehensive when ordering these as Delta was not among the brands listed although some commented that they would work. Just want to add my YES to this list, they fit my Delta 28-206 saw perfectly. They weren't that difficult to install. I used a plastic spuger tool used in automotive upholstery and 2 spring clips to hold the tire in place while I rotated it around the wheel. Probably 5 minutes per wheel. Don't worry about the tire initially being too wide for the groove in the…

New bands/tires for my Jet Bandsaw

the seams on the bands were a bit uneven. I pressed my ribbons against the board and sanded the seam smooth. It only lasted a few minutes. I made both sides of the ribbon since they weren't sewn together perfectly. Many people have had trouble installing tapes. First, yes, they are tight and fit perfectly between the lugs on the wheels. I flushed the wheels with an air hose. You don't need anything for your new groups. Start at the top of the wheel and wrap the tape around the wheel until it…

  • Vulgarity

My rubber tires on my Powermatic are finally dusty after four years, so urethane is the way to go. They heated well in a pot of water on my stove and had cast iron wheels on the counter on top of the towels. When hot (the water had just boiled) they slipped on quite easily with a moderate stretch. Perfect width fit. Cooled down, tight as a drum. But today after using the saw for a few days I noticed that the blade had shifted. On examination, the blade is difficult to place in the center of the

As described, delivery time 1 day. Many Thanks. Mounted on a Model WA-14 Central Machine Woodcutting 14" Band Saw which I purchased in June 1983 (age 36). It still had the original .125" thick, 1" wide rubber bands. These new straps are 0.95 inch thick. which are slightly thicker than the depth of the ring gear groove. As a result, the metal edges are slightly below the belt. Yes, hot water helps a bit, but the belt will cool down quickly if it touches the metal wheel. So the real installation…

Read this and the installation will be easier.

These are great quality bandsaw tires when you put them on the bandsaw wheels. Therein lies the catch. For convenience, they come in a 'package' with almost zero instructions other than confirmation that they are 'undersized' and may require soaking in 'warm water'. Say what? Okay, trial and error, here's how to do it:.1. Place these hoops in a plastic bowl big enough to hold them both plus enough water to cover them.2. Microwave them on HIGH for a series of 60 second cycles, repeating enough…
