I've never had that with incandescent lamps. Let me just say I retired after 40+ years as a general contractor, I have an electrical engineering degree and was in an electrical union many years ago. These were replacements for a cooker hood that had had a blown bulb. I always change the lightbulbs in this range hood in pairs so the color is even when I'm cooking. Within 24 hours of installing these bulbs, both suddenly burned out a few seconds after the lights were turned on. The night before when they were installed, they were working normally, there was no storm around, the house wiring is normal, there is no damage to the lamp or switch, there is whole house surge protection in the mains, the is included in the network. Service panel, no other lights in the house went out, just these two bulbs. At first I wasn't even sure what happened. I thought the switch fell off for some reason. It wasn't until I unscrewed the bulbs and checked the fixture with a meter (and then checked the bulbs) that I verified the bulbs were dead and the fixture voltage was fine. My three UPS systems in the house didn't even work. I replaced them with two different brand bulbs the next day and they've been fine ever since. They were obviously defective, but how can I prove this and send it back? It's easier to just accept the loss.
