Upgrade so I took the bolt and nut to my local hardware store to get a replacement and they said the threads on the bolts were bent when they put them in the factory cut. In the photo, the short one is the one they sent and the longer one is the one I bought for $0.09. So my problem was not in the plastic ring, but in the thread of the screw. First review: I just received it today and am very disappointed in the nuts included. The plastic ring in the nut keeps it from going through the bolt and causes the wheel to vibrate. I will buy a separate pair tomorrow to fix this. Although I don't like it, the product is so good that I have no intention of returning it. It is, and my son really wants to put them on his bike to ride. The instructions that came with it got me thinking because it wasn't written correctly.
