I love these wall mounted aquariums. I traced the backing on a vinyl mat, cut it out and attached it to the backing. This made the perfect round aquarium. I added some java moss, tomentosum, a small floating water lettuce, duckweed and lucky bamboo, some gravel and a few small rocks. This tank now houses a few of my ghost shrimp, which you can hardly see on the 1st photo to the left of the tank and the 2nd photo in the middle. I had to remove them from the main tank because they ate all of my new baby snails in 24 hours. I love seeing them floating in the wall tank next to my coffee station in the kitchen. I put them there so I can watch them often and see how they are feeling. It's fun to watch them. Really entertaining. You must get at least one. UPDATE: I placed a 6" heater and a homemade sponge filter that I made from a 1" x 2" terracotta pot, organic sponge filter, and air stone. They are perfect for that 1 gallon tank. I also moved the ghost shrimp to the hatchery in another room. Now my dwarf gourami lives in it. You can see one at the top of the heater and one at the bottom of the tank. You feel great! The Lucky Bamboo was removed to make room for the heater and filter, and put in Elodie and a sparkling pygmy gourami that likes to hide in plants. Gourami is 3/4 to 1 inch long. They stay small and are a good choice for this wall aquarium.
