Review on πŸ”ͺ Black 7-Inch Portable Can Opener - Swing-A-Way by Richard Orozco

Why sharp edges?

This can opener opens jars without fuss and smoothes the sharp edges nicely around the rim (although the lid is still sharp, so be careful). It's nice that it opens a full 180 degrees, which makes it easy to clean. But none of these features are particularly unique. Meanwhile, the can opener itself has sharp edges. I'm not talking about the cutting roller, which of course is sharp. I mean the edges of the metal frame where it was pierced. Check out photos of one of the places I'm talking about, but there are others. There are burrs in there that I suspect could even cut a finger. Not good! Whether they cut you or not, it just screams "sloppy production". In addition, the card, which served as the packaging to which it was attached, was covered in oil or grease when it arrived. (Also marked in the picture.) Whoo. When it comes down to it, it does a pretty good job opening cans. but overall not impressed. I'm sure you can find better ones.
