Rotating clamp with rubber grip

Please note that it has a rubber grip. The rubber upper compresses under load. The heavy rig on this spinner will rock from side to side. You can remove the rubber top, but the rubber will not stick to a flat surface. Instead, it is partially inserted into a circular recess. Thus, removing the rubber pad leaves only a thin ring of material around the perimeter of the rotator, which is not a stable surface for mounting additional equipment. Also, the middle screw is 1/4-20, NOT 3/8 (the bottom female thread is 3/8). So it's normal for lightweight devices (like a smartphone, point and shoot, etc.). But for a serious setup it just isn't accurate enough due to the poor choice of rubber top design.
