Review on Standard Motor Products LS300 Neutral by Mark Marcellus

This switch can be used as a reverse light switch. I needed this to replace a bad neutral switch. The problem is that the neutral switch "locks" differently than the reverse light switch. Of course, I noticed this after I installed the shifter in the gearbox and routed the wire. If he looks closely at the socket, he is using a coded socket insert. All I had to do was pry it out with a small screwdriver and replace it with the OEM insert from my broken switch. That was on a '99 Subaru Legacy. Solved my problem and no more problems with it.
