Serious? in sports and outdoor accessories

The water bottle is fine. The upper is overly complex and difficult to clean, and the textile strap is just a bad idea for something that gets regularly submerged and needs an occasional wash. And I have to ask. Why does a device designed to retain water need a giant bag of silica before shipping? Are you afraid of getting wet inside? I don't think much thought was put into the design of the bottle or its packaging.
