After research and calculations I found that an adult duck needs 45mg of niacin per kg of feed. Since an adult duck requires 0.120 kg of feed per day, this means that the daily dose of niacin for an adult duck is 5.4 mg. This product contains 2mg of niacin per scoop. So I need almost 3 scoops per duck per day. With one duck, that's enough for 43 days. But who has a duck. With 2 ducks that's enough for 21 days. Or, if you're like me and have a team of 7 people (I know who needs 7 ducks?! It just happened.), it takes 6 days. Extra charge for my ducks per day = $4.16 (UGH). I switched to buying a 6 lb pack of nutritional yeast. One serving (3 tablespoons) contains 56mg of niacin, which is more than enough for my entire team per day. The bath will last 170 days and the cost per day to refill my ducks = $0.47. Much better! *Note: I haven't noticed that garlic improves the smell of her poop. It's still pretty obscene, like duck poop, but it might take a lot longer to kick in.
