This was a great product while it worked. Bought in November 2017 and burned out in mid-February 2018. The lamp would typically run for 4-6 hours in an open shade bedside lamp so ventilation of the lamp was not a problem. It was a huge disappointment that the bulb lifespan didn't even come close to the claimed 20+ year lifespan. I'm not sure if this bulb is guaranteed or returnable for replacement, so I advise buying with caution. Update from 05/01/18: I wrote to FEIT asking for a replacement within the 5-year warranty period. There was absolutely no response from the company.
