Well, I have a second Dyson (v11 Torque), about 14 months old. I don't think I would spend the money on anyone else but since I did I need it to work. Unfortunately, plastic parts break with normal household use. The plastic part of the stick (?) that connects to the machine has broken off. From Dyson's website it looks like we can ship it after all if we want to stock it. I have cats; I have to vacuum every day. I was about to reorder the same thing when I saw this crooked thing. WHERE WAS MY ALL LIFE?! It's a straight wand, if I don't press the button it *magically* bends to reveal a PATH under the furniture so I don't have to crawl there. This is genius! And this replacement part is non-Dyson, at least as durable, if not longer than the original. Note: Even when straight, this portion is approximately 1 inch shorter than a regular wand. If you're tall this might bother you, but I'm 5ft 1in so I'm still glad it bends! Now I need to find a replacement bin as the plastic that keeps it from falling out is also broken. .
