I had pretty good onboard audio with my Asus board, but after taking the system apart to turn it into a multimedia computer and selling some parts, I left I take the computer with me. 3 sticks with 512 MB and 1 stick with 256 MB. It couldn't play DTS audio in Media Player Classic and when the audio didn't work smoothly in VLC we assumed it was the RAM but found out a $7 sound card (according to MIR). walk. Computer still won't play DTS in MPC or video in VLC, well. The sound quality is the same as the board, but again I don't think it was really worth it since we already had a digital output. motherboard. The system it runs on runs Windows 7 Starter with an Asus a8n-e board and an AMD X2 4200 processor and appears to be fully compatible (just download the correct drivers from the website).
