Review on 🔌 Leviton 1406 Power Outlet Socket Adapter: Optimize Your Search by Tim Beardsley

I was so excited when I received it today to use in a floor lamp and get an extra socket for other devices! Unfortunately, the tension chain on this product is *only* designed for vertical tension WHEN THE LIGHT IS POINTED DOWN (e.g. ceiling mounted). Aside from the issues others have mentioned when using it in a horizontal (wall) position, even when mounted vertically with the bulb up (like a table or floor lamp) the pull chain still doesn't work. I think the picture of this product on Revain is also misleading because it shows the lamp's silver base pointing down and the lamp socket pointing up with the chain hanging down; In this position, the chain switch cannot be used to switch on or off.
