Things to look out for

Works as advertised but there are a few things to note. Firstly, if you have an old house that measures 2" x 3" instead of 2" x 4", this won't work unless you change the panel, which will be difficult given the density of the plastic, or you need free access to the back. In my case, my laundry/boiler room is behind the wall my TV is mounted on, so it didn't really matter. Be sure to install the TV before cutting a hole for the device. First I cut a hole and tried to screw a bracket to it that didn't fit. That would mean modifying the mount, which of course isn't so smart when you're hanging a $700 TV that weighs 25 pounds. Also check that you know the position of your rays. My TV is mounted on a wall with steel studs at specific points in the voids between the studs. I screwed up a few times, which means I had to patch a wall in California a few times. I broke one of the screws attaching the outlet to the wall so I had to screw the last one. Finally, the instructions say to place it squarely in the center of the 16-inch space, but it actually needs to be slightly off-center to the left or right due to the depth of the exit. it is 2 inches from the 8 inch mark. You can use any square socket. I had a few extra tamper evident outlets lying around. Worked great. You could probably use GFCI as well. Just ask an electrician like me if you have any questions.
