Bought for a Christmas tree to put up with all the glass decorations I bought when I lived in Europe. I stopped putting up this tree because I broke 4 decorations last year, that's all. I stumbled across these and bought them hoping they would hold my expensive and unique jewelry and keep them safe on the tree. Although I didn't have them in time this year, I will use them next year. They have a hinge and latch system which I'm sure will help. Ordinary hooks are too risky due to the weight of the decoration. The reason for the lack of stars has to do with the ridiculously high price of these holders, which cost next to nothing. The price is very high, and it misses out on a huge profit opportunity for many consumers who probably can't afford that kind of money just to keep decorations on a tree. I feel like they are using really high quality consumers so don't deserve the extra stars sorry kids. If the price for 30 was around $15, it would be much more acceptable. In fact, I hate nothing more than sellers taking advantage of buyers.
