Review on Rokinon FE75MFT-B 7.5mm F3.5 UMC Fisheye Lens for Micro Four Thirds (Olympus & Panasonic) - Black by Bujang'e Lor Nganim ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

There is no alternative to this glass, there are Chinese, they are cheaper, but the quality is not yet the same. There is a native from Olik, of course it is excellent, aperture 1,8 and autofocus, but there is a completely different price, it is better, but many times more expensive. In addition to filming in very low light, Samyang does not lose anything to his native. I shoot professionally on a micro, there is almost the entire line of pros, but I don’t see the point in changing samyang to my native fisheye, well, only if there’s a lot of extra money. In addition, the native is large and heavy, but this one is just crumbs and light. I highly recommend it to those who understand why a fisheye is needed. The Chinese have an alternative 7 artists :) cheaper, but the quality is also ok

Pros
  • Excellent picture, sharp everywhere, autofocus is not needed, at 5,6 it’s already infinity everywhere, you just need to put the focus ring on it, at 3, 5 at a minimum distance there’s even bokeh, and it’s cool, you can shoot a fish pseudo-macro, but here you already need to carefully focus with the knobs, just a great lens!
Cons
  • They are not here! For this price and quality, they are basically non-existent. Someone writes that there is no autofocus, but this is a different price, and it is not needed on a fisheye.

Got pros: Normal clarity by the standards of wide-angle lenses. Different cons: Full manual, not recognized by the camera.

Some pros: Excellent glass. Cutting. Doesn't chromate. Reliable build. Some cons: I had to learn to focus manually :)

It seemed to me that at aperture 3.5 and focal length 7.5mm there should have been a large depth of field. No, it was small. Therefore, aiming manually is only possible through the viewfinder.
