Review on Breville BFP660SIL Sous Processor Silver by Gabe Ries

Well built tool for kitchen magic.

We bought this to replace the long gone Cuisinart. I looked at many models including the Elemental 13 Cup at Costco. The build quality is second to none. It doesn't have a lot of specialty blades, but the ones that do their job well. The spindle sits in the bowl and the blades go up, it seems pretty loose but it's all good. Alignment is very easy and the middle tube can hold most items. The cutting disc is the real deal. Turn the adjustment knob to your desired thickness and you're done. Ripe peaches for pie? No problem. Knead the dough for the cake with a plastic spatula. The double chopper can get a little stuck with some cheeses, but work slowly and you'll be fine. Cabbage for fresh sauerkraut? grind. A word of caution about the steel blade, keep it in the holder as I've already cut myself it's so sharp. It really reminds me of the coupe robot we used to have when I was a chef. Highly recommended.
