I was able to easily pair these HTs with a fairly obscure Bluetooth headset. that was nice. The problem is that when a Bluetooth device is paired, the device seems to force you into VOX mode. PTT also works, but you cannot disable VOX mode. Now you might be thinking that you can just turn the VOX gain down so it never triggers, and that's true. The problem is that the VOX sensitivity (iVOX in Bluetooth mode) ALSO changes the transmitted volume. So if you set the sensitivity to low, your interlocutor will hardly be able to understand what you are saying. That's all very unfortunate for an otherwise seemingly good radio. Motorola Bluetooth devices won't connect to my headset so unfortunately I can't find a good solution for the Bluetooth GMRS radio. YMMV.
