My cockatiel was a bit cautious when I caged him for the first time. Wouldn't come close. But I encouraged her and showed her that; and one day she suddenly sits on it! She was so proud of herself that she worked up the courage to accept it, she was excited and chirped loudly to show me she was in. Now she loves it, especially when she discovered that not only can she sit on it, she can snack on it too! He became one of her favorite perch. I also like that it doesn't take up much space in her cage, leaving her room to fly whenever she wants. Plus, he's just cuter than a regular perch.
