Ideal for quick rental repairs
Well, we actually rented out our house, but still wanted to install a smart thermostat. We have a rabbit that lives indoors and he wanted to be able to control the temperature when we weren't home so a nest thermostat was the best choice. However, our house is old and when we removed the old standard box there was a huge hole behind it that didn't cover the nest. This plate covers all the space we needed. This was an easy fix considering this wasn't our house and we didn't want to pay for a repair. Drywall repair just to install a smart thermostat, it was easy to install and works great
