Smooth Glide
These are my favorite tapestry needles for most fabrics. I rarely embroider on 14/28 canvas and mostly use them with 16-18 canvas and 32-plain linen/even weave. Other needles cause more hand fatigue as they do not slide smoothly over ida fabric and often require a tug to pull the eyelet through the holes. Not this one. Even with the stiffest Aida 18 fabric, the needle glides effortlessly over the fabric. I'm a longtime John James fan, I use these most of the time and size 24-26 for higher numbered fabrics like Hardanger 22 and Lugana 25. . They cost more than DMC, but they're worth it.
