This tool is very good. Very good grip, good weight, good steel with very good polish. Nice packaging. Wise and sensual looking, this is a very good instrument, especially at this price point. BUT, it didn't cut (cut) the skin right out of the box. Nothing. I could barely get it to dig into my skin with tremendous pressure. I know almost all tools need sharpening right out of the box, but at least some of them cut. It didn't cut at all. I spent 20 minutes sharpening it and then re-sharpening it and now it cuts and works fine. My tandy skiver worked better straight out of the store, but they don't have a wide skiver. At this price point and after seeing how good the packaging and feel of the tool is, I expected it would USE it too. Not great, just works, but it's not. Very frustrating
