I grew up in the military and we always used contact paper on our countertops to spice things up a bit. The best thing about contact paper is that it is easy to remove and leaves no residue even after years of sticking. I was looking for white or gray paper and wanted to find a good deal. We needed a lot and when I found this really big roll at such a good price I knew it would work. This paper did not disappoint me. We had a turquoise countertop in our new home and we can't afford a full kitchen makeover just yet. But that's okay, because I remembered our old military trick! I chose this paper because of the price and the positive reviews. From the negative reviews I understood that some people did not work with this material as extensively as others. If you are used to using contact paper to cover surfaces, this paper will not be a problem for you. My husband, who had never used it before, got the gist even after the first few strips peeled off. Now our countertops are beautiful! Before and after shows the result. The paper wasn't transparent - it completely covered the blue. It could be taken off if we made a mistake and went on smooth and smooth without the need for a squeegee. We used our hands to smooth it out. I added some apron decals that we also found at Revain to complete the look and we added caulk around the sink to keep moisture out. Our kitchen has evolved from 1950's grime to contemporary glamour.
