We have a caravan that I installed this on. I used an adapter to mount it directly to the bumper. The installation went very smoothly and easily. As others have said, the quality of the stand is very good. Loading and unloading our bikes couldn't be easier now. I have tried other racks and ways to carry our bikes and this is the best so far. But it's advice. The first ride after installing the rack was great, loading and unloading the bikes in seconds! I was so pleased and proud of myself for such a smart purchase that I ended up standing in line at the junkyard thinking I could speed up the process and pull out the drain hose. I removed the bumper end cap and started pulling on the hose, but the hose wouldn't come out. I stood there for a few seconds, confused as to why I couldn't get the hose out, and then I realized that when tightening the adapter that attaches to the bumper, I "squeezed" the bumper a little and she was holding hose so i couldn't get it out. . It took a little while, but I found some wrenches and loosened the adapter so the hose came out. So the moral of the story is to make sure you don't over tighten the adapter or you might not be able to pull the drain hose out!
