I decided to change my valve seals for the first time and ordered a valve spring compressor. Well built and heavy. This made the job very easy as I could keep my head on the motor. The configuration of the tool above the valves allowed me to get the valve spring seats right in place by making small movements up and down on the springs until the seats were in place. Unfortunately I didn't photograph it when it was fitted to the engine but I can tell you that I was able to screw it straight into the threaded holes for the four valve cover bolts and then thread the rod through the brackets. easy. I was able to hold the tool in place and go through both sides of the valve train. It definitely saved time as I replaced all 16 valve seals.
