Review on 🧼 Refill for OXO Good Grips Soap Dispensing Dish Scrub Brush by Justin Spoja

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Too hard at first, then peel off

Have been using this for 4-5 years now. I first bought the one without the blue scrubber base. They worked very well. They used to only have scrubbers so I bought one. I found it to be a bit stiff at first, but after a few days it softened and worked much better than the regular yellow ones. The problem is that the blue base peels off too quickly. Sometimes it takes a few months, sometimes just a few weeks. If I rip off the blue base, the glue holding it together (or not) will remain on the underside, rendering it virtually unusable. I think part of the problem is the soap dispenser. Over time, it becomes cloudy and flows. I wish OXO had a scrubber with a strong handle (not a soap dispenser) and a head that wouldn't come off easily. The problem is that the working window is too short. When new, the blue part is too hard. It takes a week or two to soften. Then, after a few weeks, one of the edges of the blue face begins to peel off. So now I have a flap that's flapping around. After about a week, the entire blue face will disappear. For the price it should work perfectly. I am lowering my rating to 1 star. Someone needs to make a mop of this general size and shape, but without soap dispensers or detachable heads, and with one-piece heads that can't come loose.
