This yarn is more like roving than twine. That makes it pretty fragile. I can see that a beginner knitter might have trouble with this. If you are thinking of knitting as loosely as possible, you should only put the yarn on the needles and not pull them out. If you need to rip it off you can just attach the ends and roughen up a bit, that's fine and won't ruin the fabric. What can I say, the fabric is very tasty. It's fluffy and super, super soft. Throwing that away would be awesome, but also insanely expensive. But for those of us who are less affluent, it makes wonderful scarves (and maybe hats). You must have an item of clothing or an accessory from it.
