ATTENTION! MY BIRD DROWNED IN THIS PRODUCT My canary sometimes sat on the cup itself instead of the perch to get water on his head while trying to bathe. He fell, and the lid prevented him from spreading his wings and freeing himself. This morning I found him upside down in a bowl of water all over the floor of the cage as he struggled. I contacted the manufacturer and they are looking into it. Please don't risk it. I had the same food mug and I don't think it's a bad food product but the design wasn't meant to be for water.
