That is hard. Use as a cleaver.

Extreme thickness. This is a large, heavy knife used in the kitchen as a cleaver. It's carbon steel so it does have a few stains, but that's not a problem. I prefer stainless steel edge protectors. Good inexpensive knife. I haven't used the scabbard but they seem to work. This knife will be a good gift. I would buy for a friend but will consider other options like Mora for good quality and cheap or Mac for high end.
