Very strange flashlight design

I'm a flashlight freak. I bet I have twenty of them, all shapes and sizes. They use different bulbs, batteries, and some even have adjustable lenses and programmable modes. My most expensive flashlight was over $200 and my cheapest flashlight was a few dollars. I bought this Buysight Bright Rechargeable Spotlight Portable LED Flashlight Tactical Flashlight because I figured it would be my brightest flashlight based on the lumens advertised. It looked like a good lamp for the trunk of a car. However, I was surprised by the size. It's smaller than I thought it would be, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's more portable than I thought. But it also seems incredibly cheap. I don't know how to describe it other than "dollar store plastic". It feels like it will break or break if you drop it. A very, very cheap polymer is used here. I remember a Duracell flashlight I had in the 1980's and it lasted longer than this one. And here we are in 2019. The whole flashlight seems to be very light as well. At first glance, that's not too bad either. Easier to transport, right? But it's almost like a lot of air and space in the case is wasted. It's weightless and doesn't feel tight, if that makes sense. While I mentioned it's smaller than I expected, I don't understand why it's so big given all the empty space you can feel inside the flashlight's body. It looks like they made the flashlight bigger than it should be - on purpose - to make people feel like it's more powerful. There's only one actual LED headlight, so remember that the front lens doesn't need to be nearly as big to accommodate the bulb, which can be 1-2mm high and wide. Finally, this cast's beam is not tunable and has a very bright center with a moderately wide beam. I don't think the lumens are really as advertised. Maybe if you just look at the tip of the middle. But my various tactical lights emit a more useful beam. I would prefer an Anker USB rechargeable flashlight to this one. I bought two recently (one for me and one for my assistant) and they are the same price as this lamp but much smaller, more powerful (metal body) and just as bright (if not brighter). If you really want to go pro, get a rechargeable Streamlight.
