Review on 4Ft Freestanding Ballet Barre - Adjustable And Portable With Carrying Bag For Dancing And Stretching By PreGymnastic, Upgraded Version by Bruce Marable

Super wobbly, tips too easily

I have been dancing ballet forever, and I bought this for ballet - not barre or gymnastics. Assembly is easy and intuitive. It looks nice and it’s super light to move. Unfortunately the joint clamp things have to be tightened every single time I use the barre (which is usually twice a day). I don’t know why they keep loosening. Also, if you just touch the barre it wobbles and tips. It is dangerously un-sturdy. My 6-pound dog can knock it over, and my friends 5-year-old knocked it over. It is dangerously un-sturdy. Again, I’ve been dancing forever and have great balance so I’m just lightly touching the barre with my finger tips - and it still wobbles and tips. I used to use the Health Mart Ballet Barre, which I LOVED. Very sturdy, never wobbled or tipped. Unfortunately I lost it during a move and Health Mart is having supply chain issues and the barre is not available. I just purchased the GoFit GoBarre which looks a lot like the Health Mart barre. I haven’t received it yet but will post a review on that page when I do.

Pros
  • ‎Amazing Black
Cons
  • The barre’s surface may be too slick for users without ballet slippers
