Best Investment for iPad Pro or other USB-C Chargers

is an easy purchase for a portable device like the iPad Pro. The first thing to do with these devices is the charging port, as the physical voltage of the plug goes in/out of the port several times a day. This is especially true if the device is dropped while the charging cable is connected, or if you lean on the cable - the soldered USB-C socket takes all that force and often breaks either inside or outside the circuit board. Call Apple or a certified technician now and ask about the cost of the connector replacement/reconnection. I promise you there are hundreds and definitely more than the $10-15 you would spend on a device that would fix this problem instantly. I bought this for all my kids devices as I watched them unplug and plug in their charging cable - I knew they wouldn't last 6 months without it. This connector costs more money than I wanted to spend, but the build quality and materials are EXCELLENT. are top notch. You plug the smaller end into a USB-C port (on a laptop, iPad, etc.) and plug the other end (the charging port) into the existing end of the USB-C cable. The only downsides I see with this product are: 1) really good packaging, but given what it is - what a waste of materials for such a fancy box that's going to end up in landfill - you could put it in a simple Pack the plastic/paper sleeve and everything (and probably reduce the cost of the product by 50 cents). )2) Each unit comes with a small strap that I think should theoretically go to c on the connector side so you can tie it to the end of the cable so you don't lose the charging tip - but this thing can't on the end connector go through as there is no space to attach the band around - in short - another complete waste that you generally can't use - worth every penny

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
