I would recommend using 1/2 " heat shrink tubing to seal.
Thick steel. Built to last. I would recommend using 1/2" heat shrink tubing to cover the pins. They are steel with flat ends and can mark your more delicate gear. I just didn't want it to scratch my skis and boards. I've also found that some of my snowboards tilt outward when mounted due to the binding angle. All in all just what I needed. Now my skis and boards are no longer just leaning against the wall.
