Organize Your Skis and Snowboards with Rough Rack 4-8 Ski & Snowboard Ski Rack Review

The shelf is excellent! It took me a while to get it right as I wanted to be absolutely sure that I was attaching it to the rivets. You MUST have a stud finder and know how to use it to install this rack. Installation is not difficult, but it must be done correctly, since the support itself is heavy and will be even heavier if you put skis on it. Properly set up, however, it's rock solid and a great way to store skis and pick them up off the ground. Highly recommended!

Thick steel. Built to last. I would recommend using 1/2" heat shrink tubing to cover the pins. They are steel with flat ends and can mark your more delicate gear. I just didn't want it to scratch my skis and boards. I've also found that some of my snowboards tilt outward when mounted due to the binding angle. All in all just what I needed. Now my skis and boards are no longer just leaning against the wall.

I recently purchased this carrier and was really impressed with its durability, but there is one important aspect of this design that I would like to see I knew about it before I bought it. The skis hang from a pair of poles at the top, but this only works on hard skis. None of our cross country skis or our downhill skis for kids work because the ski tips aren't stiff enough to stay in the frame. It works great for skiing. Just be careful if most of your skis are XC (like ours).

fits perfectly. I shrink the metal poles before use to prevent fraying of the top layers of the skis (as others have mentioned). comes with simple instructions and equipment. In my flat I could only score two studs but that's more than enough for the 4-5 pairs of skis I have. very well made and lasts forever. a bit of an industrial look, but I feel like it's more suited to a garage than a home. 10/10 recommendation for anyone looking to get their gear off the ground!

I bought this a few months ago on the recommendation of a friend. I hired a handyman to install it just this week. When I picked it up I found that the screws I received were silver and the brace was black. I went and checked what my neighbor had installed and their screws were black. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as it could be. Be sure to ask for the black screws. Also, make sure you mount it high on the wall, high above people's heads. That's a beast. Heavy duty powder coated steel. Mounting holes are drilled for studs 16" apart (my walls are set to 24" apart so a slight adjustment to the installation method was required). As some reviews have pointed out, not all skis hang perfectly. However, this shouldn't stop you from buying one. I use neoprene pads on hangers and they work great. Reinforces contact and prevents metal damage to the ski.

Bought this wall to store 8 pairs of skis. It's durable steel and does its job well. Suitable for 8 pairs of skis, 4 snowboards or 6 pairs of stick skis. The mounting screws are designed for heavy loads, but must be tightened securely. I attached it to a hardwood board that is bolted to the studs to give it a good grip on the wall since it's heavy. I'm giving 4 stars, not 5, to alert you to an issue, not necessarily to downgrade a product. The stand arrived on time with no damage, but the packaging could have been better. Due to the very harsh environment of the rack (which is a good thing), it should be packed in a stronger box. I had a few holes where the backing had cut through the cardboard, probably from rough handling. But that's a small problem.
