Bought this wall to store 8 pairs of skis. It's durable steel and does its job well. Suitable for 8 pairs of skis, 4 snowboards or 6 pairs of stick skis. The mounting screws are designed for heavy loads, but must be tightened securely. I attached it to a hardwood board that is bolted to the studs to give it a good grip on the wall since it's heavy. The only downside to this design is that the pins holding the skis put pressure on the tips of the skis, causing them to flex together and the centers of the skis to curve outward from each other. I'm not sure if this will have a negative impact over time. My solution was to wrap the velcro around the center of the skis so they would hold in place and keep their shape.
