My local Mercedes dealership charged $290 plus tax to replace the fuel filter in my GLE 300D. It was the easiest $230 I've ever saved on car maintenance. Open the hood and remove the plastic trim, 4 clips, electrical connector and remove the hoses. Reinstall, turn on the car without pressing the brake pedal, bleed the system/have the filter refilled, done. It took me 10 minutes max with a small screwdriver and pliers to reattach the clamps.
