I bought this router to get something other than entry-level consumer devices for my new home network. For wired, it really delivers. It doesn't take long to set up, it offers VLAN support for creating network segments, and several VPN solutions that I use extensively when I'm away from home. However, WiFi performance was poor. On my 500/500 fiber connection, I was never able to exceed 300Mbps on the 5GHz band, despite having other wireless devices that would use 100% of the advertised speeds. I've since added an external hotspot to the network and disabled WiFi in the router. If you choose to go this route, you can opt for a model without built-in Wi-Fi and save yourself a few bucks.
