This remote control is used with the Vizio E320fi-B2 and E500 models and works perfectly. Using a QWERTY keyboard takes practice and customization. You need to be very close to the TV and point the remote in a certain direction or it won't be able to control the TV properly. Once you know the range and location where your fingers are blocking the signal emitted by the remote, its performance becomes acceptable. However, the range is very limited compared to the factory remote control. When used with a Vizio Model E TV, the range is only 8 to 10 feet. Your user experience may vary. A wall-mounted TV (close to the ceiling) required a closer and more critical position than a TV on a waist-high glass stand. In this case, the effective range is 8 to 12 feet. Note that the TV takes significantly longer to register a QWERTY keyboard input than a numeric input.
