Review on EVO Mount Alloy Quick Release by Frank Villanueva

This mount appears to be solidly built and generally functional, but I had one big issue and one small issue with the design. The main problem is that the hub axle is too wide for standard 9mm dropouts. I used a pair of calipers and measured the hub axle at about 9.3mm. It took an awkward amount of force to get the hub into the dropouts. I didn't want to deal with returning a product to Amazon and taking the same risk with another item so I sanded the paint off the hub axles and that reduced them to 9mm and they matched the dropouts perfectly. It's quite obvious that it was designed randomly and the designers didn't consider the surface treatment of the final product. Another issue I have is that there are only two 1/4" mounting screw holes. It would be better if three or more holes were offset from each other so they don't line up for the torque on the mount to apply to them does not loosen.
