This is the best toy for a 2-3 month old baby, hands down! I've had these $25 giraffes and other all-rubber French toys, lots of them and they've worked for days, but there's never been anything a baby loved more than this weird little toy! Firstly, although silicone, the material is MUCH more attractive than a natural rubber giraffe. Softer, smoother and completely odorless. It's very easy to clean and the color doesn't rub off like a giraffe toy, so nothing rolls off baby. It is washable and has no cavities to fill with water, so there is no mold inside. The shape is much more attractive to babies than a simple giraffe. The head shakes wildly, and then there's the ibell nside shaker, which works way better than any squeaker. Just a slight movement produces sonic satisfaction. Each lip has been perfectly designed to seduce baby. The "horns" and "ears" are perfect for a child's mouth. The "horns" are slightly softer than the "ears" which creates two different sensations when swallowing/chewing. The thin "neck" is easy to grasp even with the smallest of hands, they can even hold it with one hand (unlike a giraffe or an elephant, which are actually difficult for a two-month-old to grasp). Or, as I said above, you can just place the baby under the mushroom with a clenched fist and this will hold the toy on his/her arm so that he/she can bring it to the mouth without squeezing and making it ' Do not drop it. No need to buy chew gloves, this toy serves that purpose too. It comes with a secure tether to attach it to a stroller or car seat. It also comes in the perfect little gift box. This little toy is so perfect and packaged so carefully that I gave it to all my friends in playgroup and they all agreed it's so much better than any newborn or teething toy they've ever had. That's a great success. This is the perfect first toy!
