This product was a good price at the time of purchase but the first one I got didn't work and was replaced for free. The second worked fine for several months, but then it started turning on but didn't show a temperature. I've tried changing the battery and turning it on and off multiple times or submerging it in cold or hot water but nothing has changed. If you don't need an instant read thermometer right away and can wait for a replacement to arrive when the first one doesn't work, and you won't need it for more than a few weeks/months, then this article is what you could be for be you Otherwise, I suggest you look for more durable items. (As an aside, I've noticed this seller doing things that would raise suspicions of being a legitimate seller - like selling this item at two different prices, which some sellers do in hopes that uninformed people will rush the Price to pay is 3-10 times higher and they also sell items purchased from other sellers, in this case they sell 5 gallon buckets from Home Depot!)
